Mattison Digital was born from my maiden name, a nod to my roots in a small country town in Western New York. Growing up there, I thought success meant escaping to the big leagues, chasing corporate jobs, climbing ladders, and sitting in corner offices.
After 20 years of chasing that path, I realized the truth: the work that fulfills me most isn’t found in big buildings and big offices. It’s in helping small businesses — solo entrepreneurs, coaches, and service providers — who don’t have in-house marketing teams or massive budgets, but still deserve a professional, polished online presence.
I’m Marcie Baranich, founder of Mattison Digital. With over 20 years of marketing and design experience across industries like non-profits, B2B services, health insurance, retail, and distribution, I know how to build marketing systems that are simple, effective, and designed to grow with your business.
The Heart Behind Mattison Digital.
More than five years ago, a very personal family journey led me into the health and wellness space, where I found a passion for nutrition and educating friends and family on the power of food as medicine. Along the way, I earned a Master Level Health & Wellness Consultant Certification through the American Fitness Professionals Association, completing four specialty certifications in Holistic Nutrition, Weight Management, Sports Nutrition, and Health & Wellness Consulting. Today, I still actively maintain my Holistic Nutrition Certification through ongoing continuing education.
As a coach, I learned firsthand how much energy goes into serving clients. Between 1:1 nutrition coaching and running small group programs online, it became clear to me that the business side of coaching—websites, marketing, and systems—was often overwhelming and left on the back burner. Even with my 15+ years of experience working in WordPress, I realized that most people just didn’t want (or need) the complexity. That’s when I turned to Squarespace to build my own nutrition website.
What started as a simple solution for myself turned into something bigger. I fell in love with how accessible and professional Squarespace could be, and soon I was telling all the small business owners I knew about it. My background in marketing and my passion for design gave me the tools, but my coaching journey gave me the perspective. I know what it feels like to juggle client work with endless to-do lists, and I also know that having the right systems in place can change everything.
The truth is…I love small businesses. I’ve always dreamed of having my own, of teaching and empowering others. And it just so happens that marketing and design are the skills I love most. So, I built Mattison Digital to do exactly that—to bring professional, easy-to-use websites, marketing systems, and templates within reach for small businesses. My goal is to simplify the tech and take away the overwhelm, so you can focus on serving your clients and growing your impact.
